Thoughts about happiness
At some point it says that, in order to achieve happiness, you have to find something that you really love doing, and then, concentrate all your energies and thoughts in doing that.
I closed the book immediately!
That means I have to stop studying for my exams (I have exams next week), and only work in AIESEC and VOCES for instance…
Maybe I’ll change my mind tomorrow when I continue with the reading, right now, I want to study for the exams, because I want to have good grade, because I want to graduate. For now, I try to fell happy about what I do most of the time: study.

Good luck with your studies.
my advice: throw this book in the nearest trash. as an AIESECer you automatically study less and risk your grades, then comes this book to convince you abandon your studies totally ;-P
I somehow agree with Askoura on this one :-) AIESEC can make you so passionate that some people start to neglect their studies, which isn't something we should promote, right? :-s After all, without studies, no AIESEC. Ah, always these dilemmas, it ain't fair :-) Besitos!! And don't worry, the time will come when you can focus 100% on what you're passionate about! For now, as we're students, we should probably focus on our studies, even though it's hard sometimes (just ask me about this...)
Passion can be blind for the naive. We cannot only depend on our passions to guide us. We must guide our passions with knowledge and understanding. School will challenge us, the challenges shall shape us, and we shall then find where our true passions are.
I think what the book is trying to convey, or should in any part. is that yes, always follow your passions, but question them, as you do all things.
We should enjoy what we do, especially study! It may be tedious, and the actions may not be pleasent, but look what we have achieved through our studies... if anything a platform to truly experience ourselves. Carissa u said it perfect, no studies, no aiesec. No studies, no experiences, no studies no self discovery. when do working ppl find time to learn about the world and spend so much time developing themselves? truly we are in a unique period in our lives. once in a life time experiences.
Why I didn't answer before? Because I've been study :)
Hey, thank you guys for your comments, I really appreciate your interest in "my issues". I have exams next week, i don't want to risk my grades even more, and I want to graduate... some day
Thanks :)
50 more days and I will be able to use 80% of my time to AIESEC!!!! I just have to be patient.

:D
How many more days now Ethel? ;-) I definetely agree with Neoka as well....you have to be able to guide your passions too. Ah, sometimes I wish I hadn't messed up my grades the past two years (= the years when I was really involved in AIESEC) :-s But then again, at least I've learned a lot, and now for my final year, I'll refocus. After I graduate, I can always do even more AIESEC-stuff....if I still have the energy, haha, the passion will still be there, that's for sure. Good luck with those exams Ethel!!! Mwah!
I had my firs exam today, I had to explain to the President of El Salvador (Mr. Tony Saca) in a short essay, my advice about ECONOMIC POLICY after the disasters of the last days!!! I hope I did well... anyway...
thanks for your comments.
41 days left to finish my university!!!!
(so there were only 42 days left yesterday jijijijij)

I realized I love academics, because i love acquiring knowledge... I want to be around such stimulating environments where knowledge is born, created and real change happens.
